LtJudge (431), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Nov 4, 2009 Pours a light reddish color with a small head. Wonderful sour cherry dominated the aroma. Flavor is of tart, sour cherries, but not as sour as the aroma lead me to believe. Some touches of oak in there as well. Not bad at all! esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Oct 22, 2009 On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Reddish brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sour cherries, varnish, mild yeast and oak. Taste is mildly sour with cherry, tannins, light funk and malt. Though not as "sour" as most sour ale it’s a still a decent sour ale. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Aug 23, 2009 I heard that this will be bottled. If it’s not too expensive, I’ll be buying it up. A light and drinkable sour kriek beer, this was perfect on the scorching GTMW09 day. Mildly fizzy, pink body. Tart and sour but not overwhelming. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Aug 11, 2009 (Draught) Pours a hazy red body with a small white head. Aroma of cherries, some medicinal, grass, wet leather, and light florals. Flavor of grass, cherries and some wood with a dry, somewhat bitter finish. FlssmrBrewAlum (1053), Lisle, Illinois, USA Aug 8, 2009 Sampled at GTMW 2009 (Madison, WI). Pours a reddish copper, small offwhite head that clings to the edges. Aromas are sour cherries, touch of unk and vinegar. Sweet yet tart, taste is similar, light yet flavorful with heavy tart cherry influence. Not really funky, but prickly, with a decent body for the style. Good fruit and tartness, a bit sweet overall for the style but not distracting. Finish tart on the palate. rhinobrau (17), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 31, 2009 Not a true kriek but an interesting beer nontheless. Lacks the complexity of a true Belgian but still has a nice lactic tartness that is very refreshing. A fun little experiment. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA May 23, 2009 On tap at The Rotten Apple. This is the first sour I have enjoyed. Very red and clear. No carbonation visible or felt. Flavor is cherry and some complex fruit. A very nice beer. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 15, 2009 On tap at Sugar maple in Milwaukee. A good beginner’s sour but not as complex as some of my favorites. Red color with a small pillow of a head. Tart cherry and vanilla aroma. Flavor is the same with a spicy finish. A little more oomph and this could be a world beater. As it is, my brother that hates sours found it tolerable.
