| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2006 Pours lightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lemony citrus with coriander. Medium to light body with only a little carbonation. Taste has lemon and wheat, the finish has more of the same with some spiciness added in. This is fairly simple and one dimensional - its not bad, but there is not that much to it. The bottle is dated as being bottle 5 months ago, it doesn’t seem like this style should lose too much in that time period, but if I have the chance to rerate with a fresher bottle I will. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Bottled, from the brewery. As my reviews have said "Belgian Style" anything is a great way to get me to consider PBR. This isn’t bad though. The initial pour is clear, but it clouds up quickly to a thick and mostly opaque straw color. Strong nose, it goes from "beer" (rice, corn, and hops) to "citrusy" very quickly. Mild flavor. I really want a poster sized version of that label! <!-- -- gws57 (1151), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Got this bottled from the brewery. Dark yellow pour, hazy, with a thick white head, very light, with orange, lemon, and clove. Finishes weak but clean. Good. Ughsmash (4098), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2006 On tap at The Nomad as "Trocadero White". Poured a hazy amber with a long-lasting cap of white head. Nose was enjoyable, sporting plenty of spices (coriander and orange zest come to mind), wheat, and mild cobwebby yeast. Flavor was much the same, blending those components well... also picked up cereal malts. Almost too carbonated, but held it together. Very good stuff. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2006 Pretty stuff, bright, slightly hazy straw gold with a puffy white head. Nose spice, bit of drain cleaner, some lemon. Flavor VERY lemony, bit syrupy, kind of odd but not particularly unpleasant. Some spice/clove, rather yeasty. Cookieish at the end. Bit thick and syrupy. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 23, 2006 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with footbalm, thanks Eric!) Brewed the end of March 2005 (ten months ago). The aroma seems more lemony than orange peel, and I’m not really picking up on the coriander. Crisp, tart flavor also suggest lemons rather than oranges. Other flavors such as coriander and wheat malts are milder and definitely reside in the background initially, with the coriander picking up a bit more presence toward the finish. Light bodied, crisp and clean, nicely carbonated, refreshing on the palate. Pours an attractive, lemony-yellow body, fairly hazy, accented by a few steady streams of small carbonation bubbles, but the white head is very small and quickly turns into a dusting atop the beer, and then nothing. Decent enough, and pretty easy to drink, but it’s awfully lemony for a witbier, and in fact really doesn’t even remind me of a witbier. It just getting a bit close to a light wheat beer with a slice of lemon. Probably a really good beer to drink while playing competitive outdoor volleyball in the hot sun. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 9, 2006 White hazy blonde with creamy white head. Lemony malt and wheat aroma. Loght bodied wheat with too much lemon and spicey hops. Mondial 2005. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 13, 2005 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy quite pale straw-yellow with persistent white head. Faint aroma of hop spice and coriander. Flavor is thin, musty, clove spice, coriander, and faint orange peel. Thin palate and mouthfeel. Supplies the bare basics of a witbier and stops there, aspiring to achieve nothing more.
