Commercial Description:
This easy-drinking Pilsner is specially bottled by the Lakefront Brewery as a tip of the cap to hard-working, hard Partying folkski’s who still appreciate a pub with steel tip darts, popcorn baskets and a goat head on the wall. One of the toughest beers to brew, It’s a single malt blended perfectly with German Hallertau and Saaz hops. Simple yet elegant, just like this beloved bar.

Golden color with a moderate, slightly aged paper, off-white head. Decent lace. Fairly sizable hops aromas, mild grass, herbs and hint of lemon zest. Hints of lightly toasted pale malt and caramel in the background. Pretty much how a pils should smell, perhaps a bit sweet if anything. Pale malt sweetness quickly meets hops bitterness in the quaff. Some light zest and white pepper in the bitterness. Quite crisp in the finish. LInger has a light return of malt. I have really been missing some of the german pils that were once available in the area and this one helps (along with Prima - when it is fresh). Thanks Wolskis and Lakefront.

[Bottle] shared by skyview. This was quite a surprise, and easily one of the best lagers I’ve ever had. Pours clearish gold with a smallish off white head. Aroma is a little bit of sweet malt, lager yeast, and a touch of honey. Flavor is interesting with a nice medium/rich mouthfeel. Surprisingly complex for a beer of this style. Honey and a touch of lager yeast round it all out.

Bomber from Discount Liquor. Pours a crisp yellow-gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is lemon zest, a bit of grass, and some hops. Taste is nicely grassy, some lemon zest, and some nutty malts. This is really good, and hella drinkable!

Purchased a 22-oz bomber at the Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and shared with guests after the tour. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a thin and fast dissolving white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of multi-grain and golden malts, a touch of lemon zest, some grassy hops and a hint of light citrus. Taste is light to medium bodied, with flavors of white bready malt, some lemon zest, and some grassy hops. Finish has a nice balance that is both semi-dry and semi-sweet. Quite enjoyable for light pilsener beer.

Bomber purchased at Wolski’s. It has a cool bumper sticker you can peel off the bottle. Pours to a clean pale gold body with a lasting white head. The aroma is noble hops and a nice moderate breadiness. I drank this over many hours, so my rating may be a little too in depth. When at proper serving temperature, the beer has a nice grassy noble hop and crisp bready malts with a nice lager yeast. The beer, as it warms up, obtains a buttery biscuit thing. But mind you, that’s when room temp. But, it was still quite drinkable then. The palate is crisp and clean and super easy to drink.

Pours a clear yellow color with light off-white head. Aroma is of light fruit, hops and wet grass. Taste is much the same but has a bit of lemon in it. This is one interesting, and refreshing pilsner.

Bomber. Poured clear paler golden with a thick, well-retained cap of white head.. set up quite nicely. The aroma picked up floral and lesser lemony notes over pale and bready sweetness.. soft and well presented. The flavor had sourdough bread at the core with fresh floral, grassy, and citrus bitterness around.. mildly sour overall impression.. nice balance to it. Light-to-medium bodied and spicy on the palate, again with good balance.. just a little too sour at the back. Very good overall.
