austinpowers (2827), New York, New York, USA May 6, 2008 It’s OK, but not great. More lager than honey, and there’s a hint of malt liquor here - did they use corn? A sad buzzkill for me, that’s a little rancid.
AWS9 (123), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Gross, strong industrial sewage smell. Ugh, not a promising start. Pours a light brown colour with a slight, receding head, better than expected... Minimal malt, hop and honey all present here, not good, but certainly there. Mouthfeel isn’t completely non-existent. Not as bad as I expected from Lakeport, just don’t sniff. dran68 (6), , Ontario, Canada does not count Jun 16, 2008 Not much to talk about here. It’s drinkable cold on a hot day. The best thing about it is its price. HogTownHarry (3175), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada May 2, 2008 Can (473ml). Oh yay, another Pale Lager. Brige gold pour, slight amber tint, large fizzy-frothy white head. Jesus, how can it smell this bad COLD? Cooked veg, sugar water, plastic, corn, rice alcohol - ugh. The taste has less of the ugly aroma components - rice andcooked veg especially, but it does taste like a cheap vodka cooler made from a pvc kiddie’s wading pool choked with weeds. Watery, flat mouthfeel, harsh aftertaste --- really about what you’d expect from a cheaply made macro wannabe. BytownJon (19), Ontario, Canada May 1, 2008 Trickery is the name of the game, so don’t bet the house. Appearance is a decent medium brown which is inviting - even though the head disappears quickly. Beyond that, flavour, aftertaste and body are zeros. Does not offend, but easily forgotten. Will get you drunk if needed.
