473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear yellow gold with moderate, but quickly disappearing white head. Nose isn’t totally terrible at first - some grass and sweet grains, but turns ugly as it warms. Taste is fairly typically macro - mostly grainy/corny but with a touch of grassiness giving a hint of a bitter finish. Pretty bland.

Very pale with fizzy head and carbonation. Smells sweet with grainy notes and corn. Tastes sweet with a bit of soapy feel, some grape and melon, barely a touch touch of bitter hops. Not a pilsner but not a drainpour for its humble class. 2.1

Light straw colour, with a thin white head. A bit skunky smell. Taste is pretty horrid. Skunk and bitter. Shouldn’t expect anything different from 24 fro $24.

Poured from bottle. Light straw color, with thin head that was sort of ’fizzy’. Grainy smell. Decent flavor with an o.k (for me) after taste. Tough one to grade, as it is a value beer, so what do you expect? For a value beer, this is one of the better ones, but if you can spend a little extra, then definitely buy something else.

473 mL Can. Clear yellow body with a small quickly dissipating fizzy head. Aroma is yeast, grains, and alcohol. The flavor is nothing to write home about: skunk, corn, and bitter. Quality and character to fit the price.

Peopl tend to shy away from a nice solid lakeport. i dont mind getting a litte tipsy off of this stuff. Too many refined palettes for micros on this site. Give this decent pilsner the respect it deserves. Enjoy! and remember GREAT BEER, FAIR PRICES!

24 for $24, what do you expect? It was similar to Labatts Blue, but with a grainy flavour and an unusual aftertaste.
