matt7215 (621), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Jun 25, 2007 not bad at all......a bit thin and watery but has enough bitterness in the finish to make it worth buying......probably the best lakeport product
JaPe (69), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 6, 2008 The after taste is sort of of malty and the colour is dark and sexy... But it still has that swishy foamy taste of a lager ... which is not my thing... Scottish ales are strong heavy meals in a glass... this a little watery . I guess I’m being judgmental because I really like Scotch ales. But, as lagers go this quite good. robinvboyer (1068), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Feb 2, 2008 well there is some malt in there......surprisingly. Aroma is still quite grainy, lots of corn mixed with slight caramel flavours.......this is odd. But drinkable, but not repeatable. yarry (353), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Nov 15, 2007 341 ml bottle, 5% a/v
Pour is very unusual for a macro, it has both colour and head go figure. Medium brown colour with a decent tan head. Nose is nutty, and chocolatey, taste is hops and malt, nothing extravagant, very thin mouthfeel, most dissapointing aspect of the beer. tomthompson89 (1184), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 20, 2007 amber color some head only thing scottish ale like is the slightly darker color drinkable but nothing to be that interested in
