LAlchimiste Bock de Joliette

Draught @ Mondial 08’. Light golden color with slight butterscotch and weak hop notes. One of the less amazing beers that were present on that day.

on tap at la saint bock in montreal. Clear copper popur, slight off white head. Faint malty aroma, doesnt really smell like much. Some hops in the flavour, but you really gotta look for them. Meh, decent i guess.

Bouteille de 341 ml. La bière est de couleur cuivrée avec des reflets orangés. La mousse est appréciable au départ et diminue lentement par la suite. Au nez des arômes de houblons florals, de noix, de caramel, de tofee et de sucre brun viennent compléter l’étape du nez. En bouche la bière a un corps moyen avec une texture un peu crèmeuse. Les saveurs sont le caramel au beurre, le sucre brun, le houblon floral ainsi que les noisettes. La finale est un peu amère et très sucrée.

Bottle. Clear copper with a medium white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is caramel, malt and wood. Flavour is sweet toasted malt, caramel, nuts and a somewhat bitter finish. Medium carbonation with a medium-watery body.

341ml bottle the inlaws brought back from Montreal... must thank them again, this beer was excellent. Nondescript aroma yet strongish flavor - rich mouthfeel, mildly acidic but not too bitter, just enough aftertaste.
