GRM (873), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Feb 2, 2007 Brown bottle, 500 ml; eye; straw, really slight effervescence, really abundant white head that first looks creamy but is rather made up of champagne-like bubbles, good lacing; nose: nice floral hops that is also slightly peppery, grapefruit, caramel and a fruity side; mouth: in that order, astringence, a bit more and the inside of my cheeks would touch each other, all in hops, slightly fruity, very discreet caramel underneath that would compare more to the underlay because it is that discreet, the malt is there but more its presence than its actual taste, finale all in hops with a hint of alcohol, good astringence, léightly sweet, mildly bitter, medium body, slightly grainy texture, good carbonation; overall: better than I expected

csbosox (978), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Oct 12, 2005 500ml bottle. Served at 54°/~12°C in my NB worthy glass. The beer is very pale indeed, it is a dark yellow/light gold color with a huge, rocky white head that clings to the glass. The aroma is piney? and soapy? with what seems to be a noble hops aroma. Maybe some very light malt and caramel. The taste is light malt with some light hops flavor that is more earthy and piney than anything else. There is a slight biterness on the finish and some lingering light hops flavor. This is a rather boring beer. It is possible that the six months it has spent in my cellar has not done it well, especially after the hot summer. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA May 16, 2005 500 ml bottle. Luminous, hazy light gold complexion, bubbly in the body with lasting head and fine lacing...piny, herbal and grapefruity sharp nose, grounded in pungent wet earthiness...moderately sweet-sour body with light spiciness, earthy malts , peppery and refreshing and in its light yeastiness a bit reminiscent of a saison...juicy front, quite dry finish. Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 27, 2005 Light golden ale with a thick white head. Light malty aroma with small pinhey hops. Good hoppy taste with light malt and citrus notes. Medium bodied. beerbuzzmontreal (2747), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Feb 24, 2005 Pours an attractive slightly cloudy golden color with a thin creamy white head that leaves superb lacing on the glass. Appealing and subtle aroma of flowery hops, caramel, herbs and grainy malt, there was a metalic aroma at the beginning but luckily it faded very fast. Delicious flavor of flowery hops, caramel, herbs and grainy malt, subtle but lasting bitter finish. Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very good, I like the balance between the malt and the hops, this beer surprises me a lot and I’ll make sure to buy other bottles of it.
