MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 15, 2006 Any first impressions?
-A rich, nitroed head covers the pale copper.
-A feeble aroma proposes citrusy hoppiness and toffee sweetness.
-Sweet cereals almost reach butterscotch, and soda minerals dry out the last half.
-A creamy, but artificially swollen body leaves a bulky, but empty impression on the tastebuds.
What if you dig deeper?
-The toffee maltiness is very simple, and overrides most of the hoppiness.
-I wouldn’t have said there was an IPA within if I hadn’t seen it on the board.
-A weak dry, herbal bitterness supports, but renders no flavor.
-A clean, but soporific cream ale from Alchimiste, which does not exceed any expectations I had for it.
On tap at Vices et Versa.
