Miksu (1293), Jyväskylä, Finland May 24, 2008 0.33 l bottle. Golden color with small head. Resiny and fruity british hops, fruity tartness and honey in the aroma. Honeyish maltiness and resiny hops in the flavor. Some papery notes too, tastes somewhat old. Quack-Duck (1906), Bodensee, Germany May 22, 2008 bottle, bought believing it was a French beer as there is no mentioning whatsoever on the label that it is brewed in Belgium. The only info is Brasserie Gambrinus in Mulhouse, Alsace-France.
Clear golden yellow, short and very foamy head that disappeared after a few seconds. Faint aroma of grain and malt. Mild-flavoured, hints of grain, slightly malty, slightly hoppy with a shy sourness. Jukkabro (2405), Tampere, Finland May 18, 2008 Sweet aroma with some buttery cardboardy tone, some biting hops also present. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also same with this butter and biting British hops. Aftertaste is sweet. MrRomero (1898), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany Jul 6, 2007 33cl bottle: pours yellow with almost no head. Aroma is of grain with hops. Straight forward flavor of grain and hops. Nothing more. No fruit, nothing. Decent but awfully boring. FrankJohansen (2807), Sabro, Denmark Nov 19, 2006 Bottle. Golden colour with a nice mostly lasting white head. Aroma and taset of hops and malts. Ok pale lager.
