Eructoblaster (1480), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Dec 21, 2008 On tap et the brewpub. Dark amber body with average carbonation and a decent white creamy head. Nice malty aroma with brown sugar and spicy hints. Its malty/hoppy taste is well balanced but lacks strength and complexity. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 22, 2006 Draught. Copper-red with a creamy/soapy white head. Enticing aroma of toasted caramel and orange citrus. Just the interplay is quite enticing and well thought out. Creamy to start and some cookie-type flavours contribute a nice sharp feel. Toasty malts and faint European hop character also show their face. Solid balance. jerc (3885), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 16, 2006 Ruby brown body, small off white head. Sweet estery-fruit in aroma, muted spice? Very similar flavour, notes of fruit, toasty malt and moderate bitterness. Average palate. Pleasant. rederic (1803), montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 15, 2006 Dark amber color, with a white -beige head, toasted malt nose, with a biscuity malt accent, subtle flowery hops, with a fruit note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a crisp toasted malt character, with a biscuity dough, a toffee accent, sweet graininess, with some fruity raisiny and date notes, leading towards a malty, faint hops bittering finish. Quevillon (1520), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Dec 14, 2006 Bu sur place en fut (10 oz). Rousse claire, mince collet. (Rating #50) Rastacouere (5552), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 25, 2004 Deep sandy red, hazy and wearing a small off-white cover. Fresh malt aroma not unlike fruit flavored cake or bread. Crushed perfumey nutmeg, rather buttery in a scottish way. Pleasant hoppiness. Comfortable mouthfeel. Typical well balanced Amère à Boire lager. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 23, 2004 Pours a cloudy, reddish color with a thin creamy white head. Spicy aroma including cinnamon. Subtle flavor of spices and fruit with a sweet finish. Medium body, smooth palate. Very good, I make sure to sample it every year in the Christmas season.
