Draft at the brewpub, July 2006. A dark orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet with some fruity notes - especially oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries - especially strawberries, but also with notes of mango, and a perfumy touch. The end is dry with a light woody touch.

Draft. Not sure who listed this beer, or how I became the first to drink it, but here goes. Deep coppery pour with ruby edges, and a great creamy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, hops, vinous fruit, cherry, red grape, even some blueberry hints. The taste is caramel malty, fruity, vinous, with nice complexity and a nitrogenated mouthfeel. Very smooth and quaffable, I would have called this a red ale based upon its fruitiness, but lets compromise and call it a damned good brown ale.

Draft at brewpub. Coppery brown colored with some aroma of caramel malt, almonds, and sligh brown sugary fruit. The palate is medium to light, with malt, caramel, nut, and some brown sugar hints.

Sample at the brewpub. Medium amber, tinge of red...malty, fruity aroma, extremely smooth palate...flowers & honey, nice maltiness, just a hint of hops at the end. Not bad.

Very similar to the 4 grain, except more hop presence is noticed. Color is pale amber with a decent white/beige head. Smooth beer.

Draught at the brewery January 10, 2005: Aroma of malt, grain, chocolate, burning, toasting, nuts, leaves, tar, and a bit of hops. Poured amber in color with a large, lasting, creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Clear. Moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Tasted of nuts, malt, toasting, and some bitter hops. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Chalky, bitter finish. This was still being called "red rose" when I had it. It was not red.

Aka Red Rose Amber. Faint aroma of brewed iced tea (Red Rose?). Looked like a brewed ice tea. Medium body, medium carb. Pleasing fizziness. Hoppy (not as much as brown ale) and malty, with some acidic bitterness. Smooth nutty finish. Almost a weaker version of the brown ale.

On draft as the Celtic Rose. One of my least favorite. I didn’t really pick up of much as it was fairly bland. The flavor I did pick up fruit and caramel malt.
