The aroma is very lightly of malt and hops - where is the notes from the dry hopping, that they describe? The flavor has a very complex malt back ground on which is a very light hoppy note, leading to a dry end with light notes of herbs and a light bitterness. The mouthfeel is quite smooth. I had expected more, so it is a disappointment. starfireming (309), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Nice apperearance, but then again what beer doesn’t look good. Taste leaves something to be desired... I taste a little iron or metal bigrond (1053), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

Medium bitterness that is more than I desire. Averagely soft carbonation. Overall was better than a typical pale yellow american beer. From the amish country of PA. Better than Lion Stout, that’s fer sher. jrichbrew (5), Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2006 This is a good American Amber Ale. It has a nice hop aroma and finishes dry. It has an almost nutty flavor with a balancing bitterness. Does not have an over-the-top hop profile as some craft brewed ales do. I good beer to use when introducing a friend to a flavorsome ale. sdfox76 (4), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 22, 2006 From the bottle, poured a good head that didn’t last long, good lacing. Medium amber colorand a definite rye aroma. Interesting "bready" taste. Glad I had it but won’t look for another.
