Jun 27, 2004 (ODBF04) Lightly hazy amber ale with minimal off-white head. Aroma is mild sweet, earthy, light grainy. Taste is mild sweet, earthy, some herbal, light rye. Medium, slightly dry body.

Jun 4, 2004 Pale-orange with weak head and lacing, aroma is of malt and hops. Palate is medium, taste is of some malt and faint hops in the background. Not bad, this is a pretty good beer considering it’s Amish. Not bad at all.

May 25, 2004 Bottle from Kaya in Pittsburgh. I don’t really know if the Amish are allowed to make beer. Amber colored with a medium thin light beige head. Very little lacing. The aroma is lightly malty with hops in the background. Rather light body with a crisp character. Earthy hops flavor at first but it falls off pretty quickly. The grain is there but not as much as expected. The finish is lightly hoppy with a touch of malt. Passable but the Amish should stick to butter churning and leave beer brewing to monks and such.

May 20, 2004 Tan color with a big white head. Nice sweet hoppy taste thats somehow also sour. Not sure what’s up with that and I wish I could put my finger on what that taste is. Tastes a bit like cardboard.

Apr 22, 2004 Bottle 04.22.04. Standard amber color; smallish beige head is lasting with good lace. Nicely layered malts in aroma and flavor - toasted wheat bread, apricot, chestnut, light caramel notes. Lively and refreshing, not too bitter, but not all malt. Well balanced, tasty, fruit-juicy.
