Hops are fairly mellow. Pleasant, but not very special. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

The four different malts add a nice level of interwoven tastes. Nice hoppiness, with overtones of bread, honey, black pepper, and citrus. A nice hot weather beer. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2004 Updated: May 14, 2004Feb 2004: Bottle. Medium amber-brown, clear, large lasting head. Grapefruity hop nose with a bit of nice caramel maltiness underpinning. Lovely fruitiness throughout, mostly citrus but a bit of apricot and watermelon as well, and a nice maltiness in the light body. This would be a top-notch summer refresher, well above average. Thanks again Tidiaguy! 7/3/7/4/14
Draft at the brewpub. Where's the hops? Seems much smoother and blander, though still quite fruity. I'll give it a bit of benefit of the doubt and average the ratings. This sample: 6/3/5/3/11=2.8 overall. guzzler67 (1280), Hanover, Maryland, USA

Mild, sweet taste reminded me a bit of juicyfruit gum. Slightly bitter finish. pobenohne (504), Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2004 Dark golden orange with a small lasting creamy head. Aroma is faint but floral hops and just the sligtest scent of toasted malt. Good initial hop flavors that fade quickly to a nutty aftertaste. Palate is initialy oily but finishes with a watery feel. Kind of plain but O.K. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

As fo the taste, just a bit of a disappointment. Just a bit skimpy on the hops for my taste. I’ll definately drink this beer again but it’ll probably be ice cold on a hot day.
