12oz Bottle: Slight aroma is a bit sweet and fruity. Nice white head and good lacing. Golden in color. Tasty! Tastes of hops, caramel, corn. Easy drink, though a bit dry. Overall, a decent APA, though nothing special.

Light amber color, average head and lacing. Malts are biscuit/bread and a little zesty. Hops are fairly mellow. Pleasant, but not very special.

I like this beer's complexity. The four different malts add a nice level of interwoven tastes. Nice hoppiness, with overtones of bread, honey, black pepper, and citrus. A nice hot weather beer.

Feb 2004: Bottle. Medium amber-brown, clear, large lasting head. Grapefruity hop nose with a bit of nice caramel maltiness underpinning. Lovely fruitiness throughout, mostly citrus but a bit of apricot and watermelon as well, and a nice maltiness in the light body. This would be a top-notch summer refresher, well above average. Thanks again Tidiaguy! 7/3/7/4/14

Draft at the brewpub. Where's the hops? Seems much smoother and blander, though still quite fruity. I'll give it a bit of benefit of the doubt and average the ratings. This sample: 6/3/5/3/11=2.8 overall.

Served from a firkin. Unfiltered, deep amber appearance. Fruity aroma. Mild, sweet taste reminded me a bit of juicyfruit gum. Slightly bitter finish.

On draft at N 3rd in Philly. A full malty beer without being sugary sweet. Great lace.

Dark golden orange with a small lasting creamy head. Aroma is faint but floral hops and just the sligtest scent of toasted malt. Good initial hop flavors that fade quickly to a nutty aftertaste. Palate is initialy oily but finishes with a watery feel. Kind of plain but O.K.

A quite clear orange-amber with a faithful head that stayed with me til the end. As fo the taste, just a bit of a disappointment. Just a bit skimpy on the hops for my taste. I’ll definately drink this beer again but it’ll probably be ice cold on a hot day.
