Bottle. A nice simple pale ale. Aroma mostly grainy malts, light hint of hops. Poured a light amber. Flavor much the same as the aroma and the palate was light and clean. Glad it was more malt than hops.

bottle by way of machfive55... pours a surprisingly hazy brown color capped by a small whitish head. strange aroma... sour apples, tart cherries, aluminum sheeting, minerals, caramel malt and rotten sour grain... strange and definitely off. apparently not off putting enough for me to try to drink... the flavor is very sour... it reminds me of really tart granny smith apples but without any of the natural sugar. there’s also notes of a cinnamon-y spiciness, minerals and lots of bad yeasty action. the body is medium but the acidity and sharp carbonation make it quite harsh on the palate. interesting... i wanted to keep trying it as a sour beer since at that point it was no longer a pale but it started to make my tummy ache. down the drain... needs a rerate... 2/4/2/1/2/1.1

Bottle. Pours a golden orange body with a white head. Sweet grainy malt nose, some light floral and orange notes. A hint of cherry and some lingering light bitterness. Eh not so good.

1st beer I’ve tried out of a sampler I received in a big trade with Zach8270. This is very nice, seems English-style. Very malty throughout. Nice autumn orange with minimal head and lacing. Grainy aroma, much malt and caramel in the palate. I liked it.

Soft orange brown body with a thick, foamy off-white head--appears as a pale aleis expected to be... fresh and hoppy--a bit of yeast here and there--fitting but not memorable, like a plain white T... body is medium-weight with fizzy action along and around the tongue... rather plain--a bit crunchy and smooth late--likeable... a softening flavor that allows other elements--food, namely---to take precedent--light on the malt, thus making the act of balancing difficult... the hops are quite obvious... pale ales need body and balance, and the Four-Grain has a little of both, but a little more work could be done to this one... workable as a sampler fourth...

Bit of apple or cheery tartness on the nose. A chewy malty flavor in the mouth. Reminds me more of a brown ale than an apa.

Tap from LBc- shared with some of the Knights. Poured a dark gold with a simmering foam head. Grains and a bread malt body. Minimal hops, some light herb notes but a good smooth drinker.
