Dark colour, body seemed a tad thin. Bit of a roast aroma. Tad roast in flavour. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2006 Draft at the brewpub. Deep brown color with ruby edges and tan head. The aroma is roasty malty and chocoffy. The flavor is roasted dark malty, with hints of dark chocolate, coffee, and a very slight rauchy finish. Notably complex and well balanced for this style. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 9, 2006 On tap. My first Baltic-style porter. Opaque garnet in color, which surprised me - I was expecting something darker. Not too much aroma, but hints of chocolate/mocha up front. Very, very nice. A very enjoyable brew. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 5, 2004 Pours darker brown with a small tan head. Feint aroma of coffee and chocolate. A little more hop in the taste thatn I had expected. Still mostly dominated by a roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavor. Nice warming feel also without a strong alcohol taste. Very enjoyable porter. michael-pollack (2719), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2004 Draught @ Brewery: Poured cloudy dark brown/ruby color with average white head, that lasted for a while then diminished. Excellent Lacing. Smelled of roast and choclate. Malty flavors of molasses, choclated, and nuts, with resiny ops, and a bit of smoke. Easy to drink. Medium body with cremy, texture, and lively carbination. Overall, a pretty good porter. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2004 Clean and flavorful porter - but not quite at the level that I would call a true "Baltic Porter." Sweet, with hints of caramel & roasted malt and a bit of licorice. guzzler67 (1284), Hanover, Maryland, USA
