Nose of light biscuity malt, light grain, and fresh hops. Flavor mimics this well. Very crisp and lager-like, the hops providing a tangy, citrusy surprise and rounding this beer out nicely. Fantastic! cazort (421), Newark, Delaware, USA

Hops come as an aftertaste, but are fairly strong. Struck me as a bit odd for a pilsener, but overall was a good beer. The distinguishing feature of this beer was that the hops seem to come "late" after the sweeter malt flavour. This brew would be better if the hops were more assertive. I usually am less tolerant of sweeter beers, but this one has enough qualities to redeem itself in my eyes. pjk33 (384), Sligo - Curllsville Heights, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice golden color with a decent head. Tastes like an above average pilsner. A little malty with a nice hop bite. Decent carbonation with a medium body. Not too bad. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 27, 2005 decent, not bad... this rating is based purly from a swallow that a friend gave me from his bottle. Basic pilsner, nothing too exciting. I had it shortly after my Victory Pilsner which was taking quite a step backwards. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2005 Bottle... Hazy, yellow lager with a large, off-white head. The nose is breadsy and herbal with a lesser note of wildflower honey. Malty, sweet flavor is herbal and grassy with white pepper and a lemony, hop bite. Medium-bodied and a touch watery with lively carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. I really don’t like pilseners much, but I really have no complaints with this one. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Dark, dead lawn golden pour with ample, though fading white head and lots of lace. Grassy and sharp, appropriate hop aromas but nothing special. Flavors right in line with flavor, but maybe a bit even more malty than I’d hoped. Certain lagery aftertastes, and by lagery, I mean that it smacks of corn and that pseudo oxidized lager thing I always taste, whatever it is. As US pils go, Lancaster shouldn’t be ashamed of its offering, but it’s no Prima Pils. lamas (733), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2005 Bottle. Pours a light orange with a medium-sized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is of perfume and chemicals with a touch of hops and lemon. Taste is all bland hops. Just a touch of sweet malts and a little pepper. Dry, bitter finish. Weird chemical tastes. BLAND and boring.
