Commercial Description:
Crisp and refreshing, this classic Bohemian brings noble hops and traditional German maltiness in perfect union before another healthy dose of imported hops tips the scale toward a decidedly hoppy finish.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with jasonp, thanks Jason!) This beer has some kind of carbonation going. The head tries to overflow the glass each time I pour a little out of the bottle. And the initial palate is very fizzy and lively. Now then, once things settle down a little, this fairly dry pilsener is lightly malty, with a moderately bitter hops kind of taking charge. There are some very mild sour undertones from start to finish. You know, it’s just not all that flavorful or distinctive. I feel like I’m just drinking a typical generic American pilsener. It’s not bad, but it’s just not capturing me. Funny, but after that very fizzy initial palate, the carbonation level is quite tame in comparison once the beer settles out, and doesn’t provide much of a lively mouthfeel. Medium yellow, but with all the sediment in the bottle, the beer pours fairly cloudy. Once the head settles, it’s very rocky and long-lasting, and leaves plenty of large patches of lace on the glass. Not bad, but not great, just kind of "whatever."

Thanks for the brew, civforprez. huge white head and a deep gold color. The aroma is lemons and some soap with bread. The taste is bread and orange marmalade with some toast. this is a decent pils, but not something special.

Nice gold-orange color, quick white head with a little lacing. Bitter citrus start with a harsh finish. The body is very light and watery with moderate carbonation and a floral aroma.

Cloudy orange with a monstrous off-white head. Once the head settles down, the body resembles a wheat beer somewhat. Aroma is grainy with some lemon and sourness. Very full and malty. Taste has notes of grain, lemon, strong bitter hops, spiciness and pepper. Has a lingering bitter metallic aftertaste. Mouthfeel is full but too fizzy and over-carbonated. Good lacing and head retention. Overall, this one didn’t really agree with me.

Meh. It’s quite golden, and has a large head. Other than that, there’s not really much to remember. It’s a solid OK, but not much more.

This poured out a slightly hazy golden yellow color with a decent sized white fizzy head. The left the scene like it owed my money shortly after the pour. Roasted grain is what I first smelled, though after a while I believe it smelled like hay. There was some roasted scent, malt and a bit of spice notes sprinkled about over the hay. The flavor was a bit sweet with malts while have a roasted grain character to it as well. There were a good amount of hops balancing it out and lending a nice bitterness to it as well. Mouthfeel was about average with no notable aspects standing out or detracting from this brew. With a pretty good flavor this was definitely an easy drinking brew I could put down a few of if I was in the mood for a pilsner.

Huge, foamy white head...took 5 minutes to pour it into a glass, with a hazy orange color and bits of sediment floating in the beer. Aroma is strong with hops, flavor is the same, with alot of bitterness on the end. Very crisp bite with a taste of pepper.

gold, explosive white head. furious carbonation. grapefruit and soda cracker malt aroma with peppery and citrus hop. flavour follows and is quite bitter with a hint of peach(?) at the end. nice if not a little different.
