Commercial Description:
Crisp and refreshing, this classic Bohemian brings noble hops and traditional German maltiness in perfect union before another healthy dose of imported hops tips the scale toward a decidedly hoppy finish.

Clear, slightly hazy orange coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of bright grapefruit hops, some malt and a tiny bit of sweetness. Light-bodied; Bright assertive hoppiness with malt very noticeable and a slight drying feeling. Aftertaste bright and short-lived. Overall, a decent pils, nothing special-just mild all-around. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 28-August-2004 at the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Hazy lemon yellow body with big off-white head. Aroma is mild sweet, herbal, some dough. Taste is moderately sweet, herbal, light pepper. Medium body with low carbonation that overcomes any crispness that might otherwise be there.

Pours one of the biggest heads in the lager word (it was not infected) . Floating particles in the gold sea . Aggressive front hopping, hints of nutmeg and malt beneath. Medium bodied , hoppy lager with added mint . Clean and refreshing.

Extremely busy carbonation. Hazy gold with a huge foamy head. Big grapefruit hop aroma. Peppery mouthfeel. Decent bitter. Familiar yeastiness. Sweet and malty with a bit of brown sugar. Herbal and minerally. Juniper(?) and Spice in the finish.

I’m stealing MilkmanDan’s review right before mine - he hit the nail on the head. "Light gold. Nose bready and malty, a few hops. Starts with a nice malt character but dies off a bit quick, hops don’t back it up. A bit thin." Also, there was a somewhat strange flavor that I honestly can’t quite describe.?

Rich golden color, some lacing, bready nose. Starts out smooth and round then some hops kick in, peppery finish.

April 04: Sample at the brewpub. Clear gold, lasting head, nice lacing. Faint lemony aroma, doesn’t bloom much when warmer. Very smooth, little bite, nice malty backbone but just not enough juice or bitterness; moderately sweet. 4/4/5/3/11=2.7

July 04: either I was high a few months ago, or got a bad sample. The pint I had a week ago was full, juicy, wonderfully fresh and grassy/herbal, with a lovely and perfectly balanced finishing tang...this is one of the best Pils out there when fresh, no question.
