Commercial Description:
Crisp and refreshing, this classic Bohemian brings noble hops and traditional German maltiness in perfect union before another healthy dose of imported hops tips the scale toward a decidedly hoppy finish.

Pours a clear light yellow golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is of bitter hops and grains. Taste is sour with grainy hops. Not very good at all. Possibly skunked ?

Bottle. Lots of floral hops in the nose, sweet and slightly herbal. Pours clear golden with loads of carbonation and a huge, foamy white head. Medium-light body does contain a bit of a malt slick, very bready, light bitterness surpassed by stronger sweetness. Rather floral. Aftertaste is faint, but what is there is hoppy with a hint of spice. Good, refreshing offering!

An orange beer with a lazing thin white head. The aroma is slightly malty with hints of hops. The flavor is nicely crisp with notes of green hops on a nice clean malt back ground, but only with light hop notes in the end.

Pours clear pale yellow with a pillowy large white head. Light aroma with slightly grainy pale malt with light spice and fruitiness. Medium / light body that has a lot of fizzy carbonation. Starts with a light weak pale malt flavor and quite a bit of saaz hops and the light fruitiness detected on the aroma. The finish has some more spice and some astringency. Okay pilsener.

Pours almost hay (with an orange hue) into the glass, an initial 4-finger head (albeit nitrous-induced, as it fades into a surface covering... light foam lace). The nose is of citrusy hops, actually quite nice, but a little light. The first thing I note is overcarbonation (refer to the initial head remark) and not enough flavor to the palate to substantiate it. The flavors I am picking up are ever-so-slight lemony citrus, earth, hay and hops... which lead to a bitter finish. Crisp, I guess, but still way overcarbonated, leaving a seltzery palate. Underdone, in my opinion... I think if Lancaster would have concentrated on building on the foundations of this brew, instead of trying to mask it in heavy carb levels, the reviews would be significantly different.

Bottle. Good appearance with nice head and body. Taste is somewhat strong and not balanced well. I got a slight alcohol burn even though this was 5.5%. Odd. Not very smooth.

Thanks IMtheOptimator for this little extra. Bottle: I was a little afraid of this beer when I poured it. The head had this very strange clumping going on with some brown floaters on it. I waited til the head settled down before trying this one. Smells a lot like berry in this one. I am sensing a bit of blackberry in this one. Tastes a little watery, but has a hint of berry flavor, which is not what I was expecting at all. I am not sure what I think of this one.
