Aroma is very APA like bready malt with a very strong astringent hop character to it. Flavor much the same, grainy with the same hop bite. Definately no characteristics of a pilsner. Just doesn’t come together well. Dinobrown (46), Virginia, USA

There is certainly a bread and wheat quality to the nose. This beer is full flavored which is what sets it apart. The finish has a nice sharp bitterness. Very enjoyable beer and rivals some of the better U.S. domestic Pilsners. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

It poured a reddish/orange color with a head that was short lived. The aroma is citrus, wheat, grass clippings, yeast, bread, and malty. The flavor is suprisingly sweet for a pilsner. If tasting this blind I wouldn’t have guessed it to be a pilsner with more than 5 guesses. That being said, its a nice taste. Kind of like a lighter ESB maybe or somethign else. I think the taste is some spicey hops (only way I know how to describe it, I’m sure a type of hops would be more appropriate, but I don;t know the differences), peppery, malty, sugary, citrus, and sweet. A smooth creamy palate. Overall a good beer, but
I dinged the overall score because its not really a pilsner if you ask me. The ingrideints may make it one, or the brewers label, but its not a typical pilsner in any way shape or form - still a tasty milder beer though. kramer (2484), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 2, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper, rather dark for the style with a small fizzy white head. Grainy and bready malt aroma with minimal to no hop aroma. More grainy malt in the flavor with a lightly bitter finish. Very muddled flavor, with no real resemblance to a Pilsener. Light bodied with a fizzy carbonation, and a slightly sticky finish. Not sure where they get off calling this a Pilsener. It doesn’t look, smell, or taste anything like a Pilsener. Has a good hoppy aroma with a little maltiness. Taste is clean and crisp with a good finish. A very tasty pilsner. Doesn’t lack flavor. A very smooth drinkable pilsner. This is definately one to give a try. jcwattsrugger (5567), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
