DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2009 Pours dark brown with off-khaki head. Nose was dark malt, some hops, cacao, not much else. Tasted lactic, dark malty, with backup hops, almost like a watered down bllack IPA. The mixing seemed to create a reverse synergistic effect, whereby both halves of this one were lessened by the other. Not a good experiment. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2007 Pint glass at the LBC...wasn’t quite sure how to enter this one...I was hoping someone else would do it...it was on special...cask brew of their Hop Hog and Milk Stout...couldn’t go wrong with their two best...pours a dark brown mix of the two at room temperature...evidence of both styles in this glass...smell was sweet, a bit raisiny with some hints of chocolate...taste was creamy with hints of toffee and chocolate, mild hops in the background...a bit heavy (may have been the food too!) but a nice treat.
