Subdued malt and hops in the aroma. Mild hops and some malt for the flavor. Balanced but nothing special. machfive55 (235), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2008 This is a good east coast IPA, in that it is not over the top hops. It’s just a good balance with a strong hop presence that will not burn out your taste buds. You can get this all over the area and on tap at the Clip. I’ll have this over BMC any day at the ballpark. lebshiff21 (85), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

Good aroma, appearance. Way too malty & sweet for me, not well balanced.... where are the hops? ndfreak77 (76), USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2008 From bottle... poured cloudy, dark gold. Aroma was hoppy but musty. From there, it was all downhill. The flavor was hugely disappointing. I wouldn’t have realized this was an IPA if I did a blind taste test. Palate was sticky and flat. Booooooo. Bottle poured into my hooker pint glass produced a fair amount of head that last’s for the whole time I drank this one. All this on top of an amber brown body
Malts and hops fill your nose more malt forward than I expected for an IPA
Yes very malt forward in the taste as well the hops takes a second fiddle to it
Nice clean mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation for your tongue
This drink’s rather easy I could down a ton of these with out a problem, it is an average IPA. My one complaint would be it needs some more hops to live up to the name

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 24, 2008 12 oz. pour. Golden copper with tight off white head that quickly dissipates leaving no lacing to speak of. Aroma of hops and citrus. Flavors of yeast in the front palate, strong pine in the mid and a mild malty finish. Huge bitter kick in the middle, like chewing on foliage - and not in a good way - but it’s just a punch and then...gone. Not one of the greatest IPA’s I’ve ever had and wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but would be easy enough to drink on a hot, muggy day.
