Commercial Description:
Our hoppiest beer to date! This formidable India Pale Ale has a hop aroma that demands attention. The bold, citrus hop flavor is balanced by a dry malt character that makes this refreshing ale a true classic.

THOUGHTS: Nice balance in flavor, but a little watery in flavor and palat. The aroma is way more hoppy than the flavor. The flavor is well balanced but weaker tha I would have expected. A little too dry It makes me want to keep drinking more but I don’t like it enought to have another one. Maybe I’ll have a different beer next. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium orange with an average, white head that lasted a while and didn’t leave much lacing. The aroma was light malt and some citrus hops (mostly orange but also grapefruit and lime). The initial flavoer was light to moderate sweetness and light bitterness, while the finish was moderate sweetness and bitterness with short duration for an IPA but an average duration overall. The body was light to medium and both dry and watery with fizzy carbonation and an ever so slightly chalky finish that was otherwise watery.

Serviceable IPA with C hop aroma and some taste. Faintly astringent but otherwise fairly standard IPA checking in at slightly better than average brew. Full hop and malt effect of an American IPA, the last beer of a night.

On tap at the Trivia pub in Moon. The pour is hazy orange brown yellow and it has an off whitish annulus around the inside edge of the glass for a head. The aroma of this brew is medium light hops and if I didn’t smell real close, I may have missed it. Later as you drink, the hop aroma becomes more apparent. The first taste of this is definitely hoppy, but it lacks the overwhelming hoppyness that I have become so used to with other IPA. How can this possibly be 8%? It hides the alky content very well. There is no carbonation or if there is, I simply cannot detect it. I am not a lover of the IPA style and the lightness of this IPA will probably make it one of the better tasting IPAs in my opinion. Except for the lack of carbonation, this may be an IPA that the beginners can sink their teeth into. It does not possess that oppressive big turn off bitter citrus peel medicinal quality that coats the inside of your mouth and lingers forever. Finish is medium bitter and it does linger, but only for a short time. The linger is easy to get over from a lagerlovers point of view. Overall, I would consider this a light IPA.

If you are looking for a truely hoppy IPA, this is not the one. However, the flavor is good and I can’t believe this beer hides 7.9% alcohol that well. Very refreshing and very sessionable.

Not much hop presence in this IPA though to be fair I drank it shortly after some bolder bottles. Nice, lasting malty finish with some sweetness, a surprise given the style (not necessarily a pleasant one tho).

12 oz bottle. Poured a hzy amber color with a full off white head that quickly diminished into the night. Aroma was of malt sweetness with a hint of caramel. Flavor reminded me more of an amber or brown ale then an IPA. Maybe this one sat around to long but for an IPA it was missing hops in the aroma and the flavor.

12oz bottle (thanks to The Epeeist) poured a hazy orange color with a small off white head. Aromas were strong caramel malts and a slightly musty citrus hop. The taste was well bittered with a sweet malt finish. The alcohol is hiden extremely well, but this bottle tastes like it might be a bit too old. The fresh hop taste and aroma are not as pronounced as in other ratings.
