Nicely hoppy, but not overly obnoxious like some beers. Its got a nice dark colour, good sweet flavour to compliment the hops, really very nice. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2006 12 oz bottle via trade with DocLock (thanks!). Pours a semi hazy dark amber with average size white head. Smells of pine, citrus, and yeast. Tastes the same with a little grapefruit in the finish. Thin mouthfeel, a bit malty for an IPA called ’Hop Hog’. Pretty balanced aftertaste. A bit above average.. IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Bottle pours a slightly hazy light orange/amber witha very nice full creamy sandy colored head. Quite attractive. Thick persistant lacing. Aroma is fairly mild for the style, and has nice citrusy, notes to it. Flavor is actually quite tame for an IPA. I expected a lot more hoppiness, even after smelling it. The malt body, is nice, slightly woody, lightly toasted, and fairly dry and a bit thin. Balanced overall I’d say, but not a very daring entry. Hop pigglett maybe. Thanks goes out to Lukin013 for sending this one.

Noticeable floral aroma. Hazy amber color. Not as hoppy as most IPA’s I’ve had, enough to make an impression but not overwhelming. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
