Caramel, rum soaked fruit and floral hops with more earthy malt and a fairly mellow hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body with moderately low carbonation.
Original rating on 01/14/06. Off-white head on a cloudy amber color. Malty and earthy aroma. Relatively mild grapefruit hops flavor. Original score: 7/3/7/3/13.

Dec 30, 2005 Amber body, sweet hop grapefruit aroma, what you would expect from an IPA. Flavor has a nice grapefruit sweetness. I definitly like this. While it has nothing that really makes it stand at the top of the crowd, it is certainly a very solid IPA that i have no problems drinking.

Dec 26, 2005 Bottle, from trade with The_Beer_God. Ok nose, tart. Lemon, grapefruit, maybe a little caramel. Cloudy brownish orange color, good fluffy head, nice lacing. Bitter flavors, citrusy, lemon/lime/grapefruit, hints of caramel, some grass and metallic notes. Medium body, smoooth watery mouthfeel, citrusy bitter finish. Real tart, lambicesque in it’s tartness. Overall just not for me.

Dec 26, 2005 Pours copper with a white head. Smells of spring flowers, hay, straw, morning dew. Tastes Grassy with some sweet tinges and a nice citrussy note or two. Finishes bitter with a peppery bite.

Dec 26, 2005 Bottle. Deep Brown with minor big bubble head, Smells like wonderful floral green hops. Tastes nice and biting, fresh, like a blend of strong hops. A little fizzy. To memory, not as complex or satisfying as a hop devil, a little too dry, especially in the finish, needs to be something thrown in there to balance out the hops, while I’m certainly not asking them to be less strong, it’s a bit too one-note compared to the best pale ales.

Dec 21, 2005 Bottle. Clear, rich golden body with medium carbonation and a sudsy, cream-colored head. Sylvan/evergreen hop aroma. Flavor is also piney with an aspect of hard dry cheese plus a cinnamon note. Palate is of watery malt and some hop resin. A fair, unexceptional IPA.
