Draft at KClingers. Dark, but bright orange, with a thin cover. Nice grapefruity nose. Full-up citric flavors, fully perfumed and entertaining. Outstanding.

The commercial description fits as it is well balanced. Nice use of malt to brace up for the hops. 40 IBUs, eh? Sure are well placed as I’ve had hoppier that didn’t convey the message nearly as well. Thank god for Doug and his traveling and thoughtful ways.

draft at macgrady’s, a deep dark brown, probably the darkest standard IPA i have ever seen, capped off with a creamy white head. the aroma was thick with malts(?) mixing with sweet grassy hops . flavors were alot of citrus up front, backed up by a solid malt backbone, and followed by a bitter hoppy tail. if it werent for the bitterness on the end, i would have thought this was more of an IIPA than a single. an excellent beer, especially for someone trying to get into the more hoppy styles.

a joy to pour. deep amber color with a large bubbled off white head. sweet smell with hints of fruit.very smoot palate with a good deal of hops. lingering aftertaste of hops. great beer to eat strong food with.

Pours copper orange with full off-white head. I could smell the citrus, floral aroma during the pour and before I ever got close. Flavor is very diferent from aroma. Solid hops with just a hint of floral in the swallow. Creamy mouthfeel that coats the tongue. Finishes with a lasting sweet touch.

On draft. Pours a deep copper with two fingers of bone white head. This beer reeks of pines. Malty, hoppy and full of character. Terrific mouthfeel. Wow, 7.8%? Definitely well hidden.

Big citrus hop aroma with a touch of floral and fuit notes as well. Extremely aromatic beer. Cloudy tea color with a firm thumb thick head. Odd, the flavor in now way matches the intensity of the aroma. Malty and almost spicy but zilch hop bitterness. Almost has a Barley Wine/IPA cross feel to it. Very different take on an IPA. Thanks Slob for this one.

Extraordinarily unusual aroma. Very fruity hops. On tap, was still a bit skunky (why?). Extremely hoppy, but not very bitter. Malt flavour present, but overpowered by hops. I would not call this an IPA because it is too fruity, not dry enough, and not bitter enough. This beer stands out in a category of its own--it doesn’t taste at all like anything else I’ve had, and it’s original enough to define its own style. However, it is not exactly a balanced brew, and its flavour is a bit coarse and leaves something to be desired. This is a curious brew which I would recommend everyone to try.
