Commercial Description:
Our hoppiest beer to date! This formidable India Pale Ale has a hop aroma that demands attention. The bold, citrus hop flavor is balanced by a dry malt character that makes this refreshing ale a true classic.

Smells of rye and hops. Pours an amber/reddish brown with a white head. More grain and rye in the flavor then hops. It honestly wasn’t the kind of flavor I was expecting but still pretty good.

Nice clear copper brew, foamy tan head. Aroma is very earthy, mahogany, deep malty sweetness. Medium bodied, molasses flavor, more malt fore notes then hops. More reminiscent of a brown ale then an IPA. Bitterness and hops are absent in its signature. Good brew non the less

Pours a murky dark gold with nice tan head. Malty aroma, plum, and raisin. Hops are muted in the flavor, but evident in the finish. Has several barlywine characteristics. I think I must of had a well aged bottle. Very good.

Poured a a pretty clear amber color with an off white head. Aroma is a little citrus hops and some malts. Flavor is also a bit malty for an ipa but has a nice bitter finish.

I experienced this beer as I do most others, straight from the bottle. With that in mind, I can’t say a whole lot about the appearance, however I can’t say much for the taste either. I’m not particularly fond of the IPA style so my opinion should not be held in high regard. I found this beer to be just average with the typical bitter and rubbery aftertaste I so often experience with IPAs. The 8% alcohol content didn’t hurt but I still found myself rushing to finish this one.

Light amber color with slightly off-white head that left nice lacing. Mild citrus and malty aroma. Hop and malt balance did not impress me as balanced but more ‘muddy.’ On tap at The Shep’.

Poured a clear dark copper with lots of carbonation bubbles rising throughout the glass. There was a thin light tan head. A nice hoppy aroma with hints of citrus. An initial crisp hoppy bite with a little sweetness and a very mild rolling bite of bitterness on the finish. A mild flavor of citrus and a touch of maltyness in the flavor. It was very good and refreshing with a very easy dry finish like a good English ale.

Very nicely balanced. Maybe not as hoppy as some others but still has a hop bit to counter the sweet malts. Reminds me a little of Dogfish Head’s 60 minute.
