Our hoppiest beer to date! This formidable India Pale Ale has a hop aroma that demands attention. The bold, citrus hop flavor is balanced by a dry malt character that makes this refreshing ale a true classic.

what a flavor didn’t expect this.. a different, but very good twist on an ipa, ipa? citrus, malty nose light hops..flavor’s just great, not your over hopped american ipa, this is balanced very nicely...sweet caramel malts, sticky resin hops, very drinkable...7.9% abv is extremely well hidden...$7.99 a sixer in NJ..i’m a big hog fan now..nice lancaster!!!

Bottle from sampler. Poured very clear copper with a smallish beige head. Aroma is pretty hoppy, with citrus dominating. Some sweet caramel in there as well. Taste is similar, with a good bit of the flavor dominated by the citrus hops. Finish is bitter. Overall, a decent straightforward IPA.

Aroma is malty with some hints of hops. Flavor is more hop assertive, with grapefruit and pine notes and a nice malt background. Alcohol is well-covered.

31st May 2008. Initially feels quite hoppy but there is a good malt balance. Subtle banana undertone. A mellow hoppy beer.

On tap @ Lancaster Brewing Harrisburg. Clear amber with an off white head and some lacing. Big fresh citrus hop aroma with some caramel. Sweet malt with an average hop bitterness and no alcohol taste. Medium body with average carbonation and a syrupy mouth feel. I was surprised by this, well balanced with a very fresh hop aroma and taste, very good.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear deep copper color with a thin creamy tan head. Aroma is biscuity with floral hops and a light earthiness. The taste begins with smooth sweet caramel malts, that is followed up by a nice strong hop kick. This beer is well balanced with a big hopflavor that is not too over powering.

Pours a clean golden amber/orange color with a thick soapy foamy white head that quickly fades into a lasting ring that leaves sporadic patches of lacing. Citrus hop aroma with with some hints of lemon peel and grapefruit and an earthy pine presence. There is also some caramel biscuit like malt. This beer is pretty well balanced, probably too much so because the caramel malt backbone takes away from the floral and citrus hops. There are some nice grapefruit lemon peel and dry pine notes but they are a bit overpowered by the caramel biscuit malt backbone. Dry finish.

Bottle split with Pat. Pours a slightly hazy orange red body, with decent head. The aroma is light hop. The flavor is light hop. Nice to see the 7.9% abv, no alcohol in the flavor - although there wasnt much flavor in general.
