Commercial Description:
This smooth brew ushers in Autumn with an invitingly tawny color complemented by an assertive maltiness. A noble crispness from German and Czech hops completes this very traditional lager-style beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a reddish copper with a off white head that disapates quickly to a thin cover. The smell is of caramel and graininess, along with a light spiciness in the back. The taste is of caramel, grain, slightly nutty, and has a malty character with a touch of spicy hops. Malty sweetness in the finish. Simple and smooth, a nice beer.

Bottle. A nice clear coppery color with about a half of an inch of white head. Aroma is a bit grainy and the taste had a caramel not that i had picked up. tended to be a bit on the watery side.

On tap @ Lancaster Brewing Harrisburg. Clear brown/amber with a light tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of caramel, bread and spicy hops. Mostly sweet flavor with a bit of bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Pretty good, the finish was a bit off.

From a bottle poured a light brown color with a fair amount of head. Light malty flavor with a quick finish.

12 oz - The WIne Source. Amber, thin white head. Light toasted caramel aromas with faint undercurrents of bread and earth. Balanced softly sweet caramel grains on a touch of back end earthed bitterness. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Decent, but really not much to it...

Nice looking pour - clear copper, medium thick tan head that dissipates. Aroma is dominated by earthy yeast, along with some dough, and underlying hops. Flavor is more robust than the average Oktoberfest which I like. Taste is mostly malt, but the finish has a decent hop bite. One of the better versions that I have had so far this year.

Bottle. Pours an average sized, frothy, off-white head. Clear, amber body. Big, malty, raisiny nose. Lots of dark fruit along with moist, chewy bread and some toast. Worth holding your nose over for a while. Big time malt flavor - dark fruit and chewy caramel. Medium body, lively carbonation. Little big of sugary residue on the tongue, but fairly dry overall. Overall a delicious beer...huge surprise. Don’t understand the overall low ratings for this.
