I sampled this at the grand opening of The Perfect Pour in Columbia. It was pretty good, so I got a 6er. It pours very dark almost black with a nice creamy light brown head. There is a mild malty aroma with hints of chocolate and coffee. The taste is on the mild side. Though listed as a sweet stout it seemed just on the border of dry and sweet. The flavors of coffee & chocolate mirrored the aroma with a subtle sweetness and bit of a smokey finish. A nice smooth drinkable beer.

Black pour with a thin little dark tan head and no lasting lacing. Smell is burnt malt crystals and dust. Flavor is sweet malt that isn’t too bold. It is slightly milky and has that chocolate milk hershey resemblance. Palate is medium to low carbonation. Overall, drinkable and milky but a hint too much burnt sweetness for my liking - I just wanted more creaminess to it.

Pours pretty black with a short lived light tan head. Smell is milky, creamy and roasty. Taste is roasty, slighty charred with some milkiness. Lightly burnt malt and milk flavor. Medium bodied and carbonated. Decent beer.

Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown/black pour with a dark brown head. Aroma is sweet and quite coffeeish with a nice herbal dark chocolate character on the back. Rich chocolatey flavour with some lingering herbal notes. Roasty maltiness with some nice sweetness at the same time. Very nice balance of sweetness, dark malts, and roastiness. A very nice stout.

12-oz. Thanks, Blindeyedbetty! Pours black with a thin but dense and creamy tan head that falls immediately away to a loose and bubbly tan film. Not much lace. Big roasty nose, along with some chalk and semi-sweet baking chocolate. Sweaty, bready note in there as well, which hints at a diacetyl problem that fortunately never materializes after the smell. Medium, slightly watery body with soft carb. Chocolatey, roasty mid-palate that settles into a dusty, chalky finish. Very mild throughout.

tap in lancaster, great fllavor, possibly too sweet for some, but couldn’t have tasted any better in my opinion. Very dark and roasted as expected from a stout with sweetness akin to a brownie. More of a one pint drink for the evening.

Poured a very dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor was very sweet cream and chocolate w/ some dry roastiness to boot.

A good solid stout overall, I’m not a big stout drinker but will get this one anytime. If you are in the brewery, ask for a chocolate strawberry, which is a mixture of the strawberry wheat and milk stout with a little chocolate sauce on top of the head, a nice combination for a dessert beer and it will please the ladies.
