Aroma is of caramel and milk chocolate with a soft nuttiness. The flavor is soft with very little hops to speak of. The malts are there but restrained with some heavy drying chocolate. The body is light for the style, but firm with a decisive bitter finish. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aroma is of roasted malts and sweet milk chocolate. Flavor is quite roasty as well. Some bittersweet chocolate as well. And a little milk chocolate comes in in the background. This is much drier than I expected for a sweet stout. The palate is actually creamy yet it finishes with a dry aftertaste like a dry stout. I found this tasty though. This is medium bodied. A little lighter than other stouts I’ve had.. Very drinkable and my son loved the cow on the bottle too! cazort (419), Newark, Delaware, USA

There’s absolutely nothing interesting about this beer; it is very bland, and not smooth enough to compensate. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Unexpected from a sweet stout. Black with frothy white head. Roasty and somewhat sour which was odd. it doesn’t look or feel infected so I assume this is the beer as the brewer intended. Thin palate and one dimensional. zach8270 (2131), Henrietta, New York, USA

It looked very nice. Dark black color with a puffy brown head. The smell was slightly metallic with hints of sour milk and roasted malts. The taste was a little odd however. Rather sour and metallic milky taste with a faint touch of roasted malts at the end. Very watery for a stout. Maybe a bad keg, but I’m not sure. I’ll try it again, but probably out of a bottle next time. CamdenD (616), Madrid, Spain
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2005 Very impressive creamy milk stout. This beer mellowed in the glass nicely, for at first was a bit like sour milk -- too much. However it ended going nicely with some wings and calamari (?) at the bar. Would definitely have again, but doubt I’d go too far out the way. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Somewhat vinous aroma of dark roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor was mildly sour, with roasted malt and dark chocolate the dominant flavors. mrjd27 (10), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
