I’m assuming it was the same beer because it tasted pretty much like an Oktoberfest. Good beer, though, I enjoyed it even though this style has confounded me for years now. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Of the five Lancaster brews I have had all but one has rated a 4 in appearance. They seem to make good looking brews. Bright dark copper color with a tall light tan head that diminishes leaving a creamy lid and sheets of lace. Mild toasted bread with a hint of floral hops. Simple, yet effective malt flavors. Lightly toasted and very long. Linger is one in which the malt invites you back to imbibe some more. Not a great oktoberfest, but a drinkable malty amber lager. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Light copper color with minimal head. Mildly nutty aroma backed up with bread dough and caramel. Heavier bodied than their lager, which it obviously should be. Not bad. Kinz (2215), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Cask at Capital Ale House. Medium to darm amber, lovely tan head with just a sheet of lace. Slightly bitter dirt aroma. Caramel malt, oddly bitter earthen finish, very light floral note as well. Ultimately couldn’t get into the sort of gritty dirt hop flavor this seemed to possess. Interesting htough.
