I had a draught in the brewery. I found that it had a slight skunkiness to it. Maybe this is just something I’m not used to as I’m not a big rye beer drinker.
Nice color, head and good presentation, but not my thing. Dickinsonbeer (3496), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Flavor is lightly toasted malts some caramel, light sweetness, and buttered popcorn. Finish is light and earthy. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a translucent amber with golden notes and a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of grainy malts, hints of citrus, some caramel, touch of rye and thats about it. Flavor of caramel, grainy sweet malts, some rye, bready and a touch of various fruits. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Draft at Max’s in Baltimore. Pours a pale golden amber with a white head. Faint undiscerning aroma. Medium bodied with a light texture. Initial flavor of pale malts and subtle rye countered by a subdued bitterness. Clean finish. While this beer is brewed well, I did not find it a very exciting session brew. For starters, this could have used more rye and a more interesting hop profile.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2007 On tap at Lancaster Brewing. Arrived at the table a clear gold with a thin white head that faded to a film after a few sips. Light but pleasant aroma of malt and grain. A bit more flavorful with malt and rye both present. The rye flavor extended well into the finish. A bit thin. A decent session beer. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Draft at Clipper Magazine Stadium...pours amber in color, thin head...trace scents of citrus, malt...tastes much the same with also a grassy aspect...very thin mouth feel...very drinkable, considering it was a warm muggy night, but I’ve had better from LBC.
