Taste of bready buttery notes, light malt and grain. Not bad. BeerLS (20), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 26, 2008 This is not a rye. There is no rye in the aroma or flavor. Very watery feel to it. I think they took their strawberry beer and took out the strawberries. Try Founders. mesperon (139), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Pours dark amber with disappearing off-white head. Bready aroma with a bit of spiciness. Mouthfeel is full and slightly fizzy. Starts a little spicy on the tongue, A little bit of bitterness with an herby light malt. Finish is a little dry. Orangey hops come out as the beer warmed a little. Underwhelming overall. cazort (418), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2008 (On tap) This was I suppose typical for Lancaster Brewing Co: mediocre. While this beer doesn’t have many objectionable qualities, it’s generally weak in flavor: very bland, and too sweet. Creamy, a bit smooth. Fairly heavy. Boring. There are a lot of macros that I’d prefer to this one. Beerman6686 (1287), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Poured an orangish yellow color with a white head. Aroma was really sweet and malty with some caramel and rye showing through. Flavor was pretty bland, seemed just like apremium lager with a little biut more flavor, not really any rye flavor at all. lebshiff21 (85), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 26, 2008 Bottle. Light amber in color, offwhite head. Malty sweetness abounds on the palate along with a little grain, not enough for my liking. I swear all the beers that Lion Brewery does taste similar - I think it’s the water. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Bottle - Amber colored beer with white head. Caramel malty aroma. The flavor is quite creamy with rye and malt flavor. It reminds me of a British bitter.
