Orange copper color, clear and filtered, with a small 1/4 inch white head. Typical nose of resinous corn, fresh grain, some cracker malts, some caramel, etc, nothing too complicated... flavor is much the same, a bit simple, centered around some sweet corn, cracked barley, with an oily texture (not so good), an average thickness for the style, and transparent bittering hops, which is nice enough. Again, nothing complicated here, but nothing terrible either. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2007 Draft at DRE. Coppery colored with subdued head. Aroma of caramel malt, hopcitrus, slight syrupy fruit. Medium to light palate with flavors of caramel malt, some fruit, and brown sugary and nutty notes, with a crisp finish. beerbill (1975), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Beer arrived at the table a dark amber with a thin whitish head. I remember this beer about 5 or 6 years ago being much sweeter and I frankly preferred the old formula under the former brewer (LMB Co). Light malt in the aroma and flavor. Some hop bitterness. Pleasant but not great. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Nose held soft floral notes and hints of pepper and caramel bread. Soft flavors of all the above and well balanced from start to finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light sweet finish. This was nicely done... oldrtybastrd (1823), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 19, 2004 Nice malty nose, maybe some randon spices. Good looking darker orange color with a fluffy looking whie head. Pretty good malt taste with a little bitterness in the finish. Subtle yeast flavor present also. Not a bad bock but would make a better dortmunder.
