Verre de dégustation, provenant d’un fût, dégusté au Atlantic City Beer Festival 2007 (Atlantic City, NJ). Arôme: Odeur de fraise et de miel. Apparence: La couleur est dorée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de fraise et de fleur. Courte durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps et la texture sont mince. Faible effervescence en arrière goût. Légère présence de fraise en arrière goût. (Rating #909)

I had to re-rate this beer after having it a second time. Maybe it was a different batch or maybe it was just so damned hot out, but this time around was much better than the first. The aroma was very nice and the flavor was more subtle. The first time I rated it, I thought it was way too sweet. I’ll try it again next year and see.

There was just enough strawberry flavor in there to make this one interesting. I’m not a fan of flavored beers, but I loved this one. I definitely wish there was more wheat flavor in it, though.

Definetly tasted like strawberries. Poured copper, small head above the beer, and smells of strawberry jelly. Tasted like cheap strawberry candy. Refreshing but tasted very artificial.

[199-20070127] 341mL. Sweet honey ice wine aroma. Cloudy, light brown body with a small quick creamy white head. Wine flavour, lightly fruity and a little gross wheat, almost infected but not. Light body. Nothing spesh, forgettable, possibly bad but... possibly this is what it is.

Wheat aroma very evident with notes of wild strawberries. Very little feel in the mouth. (probably took from the beer.) The good thing about this beer is that it doesn’t taste like syrup was just dumped in as many fruit beers do. If you want to try a good fruit beer, this is the one to buy.

Bottle shared by Mabel. Hazy golden amber, small white head. Sweet strawberry, and lightly funky wheat aroma, notes of strawberry leaves and Fowlers extract. Dry lightly sour/tart lactic notes, muted strawberry fruitiness in the flavour. Average palate. Meh.

Bottle. Light sour citrus aroma with a splash of strawberry. Pale clear orange-golden pour with a large creamy, rocky, lacing beige head. Light body, crispish and tart but slightly oily, primarily wheaten taste with a faint fruitiness that would have to be the strawberry. Light hops on the exit. Aftertaste is light bitter grass. Wholly non-intrusive summer drink, not exciting but not really bad.
