Lancaster Strawberry Wheat

Clear golden pour under a small white head. Fruity aroma of strawberries - big surprise - with a little malt. Flavor also dominated by strawberries but not in an overbearing or cloying way. Somehow, there was enough malt and hops to balance the sweetness most of the time. Mouthfeel more in line with a lager and a very sweet finish. Overall, this is a strange beer because it has a refreshing flavor but an inconsistent one. Wheat?? I didn’t pick up any typical wheat beer hallmarks. Not a bad summer refresher.

Thought the aroma was very inviting, but it ended there. My first Drain Pour. I just couldn’t choke this one down.

Slightly hazy, surprisingly dark red for a beer called a wheat. Smells a bit like a strawberry shortcake. The flavor seems to lack depth and finishes pretty watery. Ehh.

Pours a clear golden reddish color. Aromas of mild berries, grains, and a touch of hops. Flavor is a nice balance of soft fruit flavor with malts and a crisp dry finish. This one has a subdued flavor, not over the top.

Typical beer in look and head. But way to sweet for me. aroma is, what else, strawberry.

Unfortunately, I do not have much to say about this beer at all. Rather typical color and head of a wheat, but the aroma really does not work. You definitely get strawberry, but it is too artificial. Same with the taste.

a spectacular crap. unique/weird aroma of strawberry that’s somewhat artificial. but hats off to them to manage to get strawberry flavor into beer.
