Pouring at their booth at BCTC as ‘strawberry wit’, probably to play up the Belgian angle a little more. Pours an the color of cheap brandy, an empty light brown with a thin white head. Smells like marshmallows and cotton candy. What the hell? Thin to medium bodied, with flavors akin to the aromas. Puzzling and weird. Finishes with a light strawberry flavor. I was quite glad I had such a small amount of this one. My partner had about half a glass and promptly went “ugh, I don’t think I should have drank that”, and proceeded to go to our tent and lie down for an hour. Way to ruin a fun time Lancaster.

Aroma: Light nose of stale strawberries and not much else
Appearance: Clear orange-red color, no head
Flavor: Some fruity malts and mot much else, pretty dull
Palate: Light body, short duration, kind of sticky
Overall Impression:
I’ve had this one before, but not for a while. Thanks, a lot for sending me a beer from Lancaster that I can buy anywhere around me, really, that’s wonderful, people definitely join Beer of the Month Clubs to get beers that are easily available not for hard to find stuff...End Rant
Anyway, it’s OK, boring fruit beer, not much wheat beer characteristics, and I didn’t think the strawberries tasted very good either. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a darkish gold with a couple of fingers of white head and aromas that are thick with strawberries and cream. Flavor has a similar strawberry presence that overwhelms any other flavors that might be hiding. That said, this is really nice for a no brainer fruit beer. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

I am a lover of both fruit and beer, but whenever I see them combined together in a beer of this style I get pretty skeptical. This beer gives me no reason to change that line of thinking, but it’s not as bad as it could have been. It has a quite light aroma, and if it weren’t for the strawberry fruit roll up nose, there wouldn’t much at all to it. There are some pale grains, basic hop, and a real light wheat citrus in the aroma as well. Pour was pretty uninteresting as expected with a light layer of fizzy white head, light body, and golden orange in color. The feel of the beer really isn’t all that bad, and almost saves it in some respects as its not overly watery, and has a good tang and balance between smoothness and crispness. There’s not a whole lot of flavor going on on top of that though, but really nothing seems out of place or is off-putting. Strawberries, fruit cocktail syrup, pale grains, with some minor wheat aspects to it also. So indeed this is nothing special, but I think I have a couple of friends who would enjoy it.
