The_Captain (331), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle in Lancaster - Sampled from the wife’s beer. Foam off-white head, no real aroma and didn’t sense the strawberry that much. Rather weird sense on my tongue and the flavor was watery and dull. Kind of fizzy and flavorless, easy to drink but thats about it!
KornDogg (31), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 9, 2008 Kellogg’s Special K with strawberries cereal.... this is exactly what it tastes like... not your typical fruit beer... I can understand why some do not give it good ratings... I like it just because it’s unlike anything else i’ve had... Beerman6686 (780), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2008 Poured a blonde color with a slight pinkish hue and a white head. Aroma was wheaty, spices and some strawberry. Flavor was abundant with strawberries, but way too sweet and artificial. trufflepig (7), , New Jersey, USA does not count Sep 28, 2008 Poured more like a blonde - clear slightly amber, decent white foamy head. Light lacing apparent. Aroma had almost no strawberry to it - nor did it really have a wheat aroma either --- sort of neutral. Initial draw was light, drinkable - no fighting with hops here as hops was very much in the background. Only after a few swallows does a very slight strawberry taste come through. The bottle identifies Strawberry extract was basically added to for the slight flavor. A little too light tasting for me, I would have hoped for a bolder wheat beer as the base and some tang from a little acid and strawberry (it could really use a bit of sour mashing and more of a natural strawberry flavor IMO). This wheat was just OK... nothing special, nothing to rave about. I probably will not purchase again, but would drink again if offered. Mediocre is the best way to describe it. Jblauvs (170), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 16, 2008 light orange pour, fizzy dissipating head. slight wheat aroma and juicy juice strawberry. Suprisingly not to much strawberry, some tartness but finish is of fresh strawberries. At the best a not unpleasant fruit beer. alobar (655), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2008 Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of wheat, and artificial strawberry. Powerful and almost overwhelming strawberry taste. Some wheat and a bit bitter. Decent.
