Commercial Description:
Our classic Olde Ale redefines the term "bull-bodied" with its deliverance of complex and firm malt flavor. A fine blend of British and American hops provides an even bitterness as this beer finishes with a warming alcohol flavor.

Deep brown color with a minimal head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is heavily roasted malts, slightly burnt. Long finish. I enjoy it more and more as I’m drinking it.

Nice amber beer, some deep spice that comes out more as the beer warms. Its earthy, smoky, and subtle. Doesn’t really overwhelm you with much, just a good beer.

Malty and caramel-like. I liked the blend of flavors here and seemed to get a bit of chocolate dessert taste. Lots of caramel but had a shortlived life on the tongue.

A pretty good example of the style. Poured a ruby brown color with an ok initial head that disappeared into nothingness and no lacing. The aroma was malty and spicey. The flavor was malty, some light roasted chocolate tones, buttery, and of cinnamon. The mouthfeel was a little acidic and finished dry. I was impressed by this beer. (The alcohol hides in this one. Had no idea until 45mins after drinking, when reading the abv.)

Pours dark brown. Aroma roasted malts and some hoppyness. Much better out of the tap.

bottle sample at Dark Lord Day - Pours very dark brown with roast malts and chocolate in the light aroma. I was picking up a lot of coffee in the roast malt flavor. I thought it almost tasted like a stout. The finish was dry. It is warming as advertised. It could be a touch more full. Pretty good though.

This is a great beer to take to a party around the holidays. It is not expensive for a holiday beer. It would be enjoyed by true beer drinkers and some daring yellow fizzy something drinkers. It would start some conversation.
