Draft at Capone’s. Pours dark straw/coppery with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is piney hops, some caramel malt, citrus, tangerine, pineapple. Crisp flavor with a nice citric hop bite backed by a solid malt bill and some tropical fruit evolving late. Landmark has impressed me thus far.

12 ounce bottle from Beers of the World, Rochester NY (June 2007). Sampled at cellar temperature from a Unibroue glass. It pours out a faintly cloudy dark copper-bronze with an immense lasting creamy buff head that leaves thick chunks of lacing….mild citrusy hops struggle against a bit of butterscotch, and succeed overall; some nice toasty, woody notes help as well ….a bit syrupy and dull/flat in the body, despite decent carbonation ….bitter throughout, but not dynamic in any way, moderate sweetness in the middle, bit of honey and maple….dry and dull, slightly chalky to finish....rather mediocre IPA but drinkable enough and certainly containing no major flaws.

Bottle (12oz). Pours a lovely slightly hazy burnt copper, with an average fizzy/rocky off-white head. I found this aroma quite lush, fresh resiny/funky hops softened by slight lactic and floral notes, mild malt and maybe a hint of latex paint, but for all that very appealing, something I don’t always find with this brewer. The taste is quite decent, more cereal grain and less hops, it finishes grapefruit/resin bitter, I almost get rye in there too. Average to ight body, quite crisp, nice bit of astringency, only adequate carbonation, nice long medium-bitter finish - I don’t know the ABV but I found it ear-warming. Solid IPA, I’d buy a six of this and kill it on the balcony.

My bottle (12oz), shared with tupalev. Pours a dark copper-orange with an average size rocky off-white head. Nice aroma of floral and citrusy hops backed by caramel malt. Flavour starts a touch watery and mellow but it does kick in with the hops along with a nice caramel malt base and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, it’s a simple yet pleasant IPA.

Bottle shared with Blankboy, his bottle, thanks! Very dark orange, murky, small bubbly white head. Fresh hop aroma, some malt. Taste - good bitterness, but you have to wait for it - watery at first. Good stuff - solid IPa and a great compliment to the Thai food we had!

Bottle. Pours a shining copper body with a ridiculously massive white head and lasting lace. The aroma has some pear skins, light apricot, and followed by some citrusy hops and sweet malt. The flavour is piney and "green", it’s not overly hoppy so the caramel sweetness makes quick work to achieve balance. This stuff is pretty solid and drinkable.

Bottle. Pours orange/red with a sticky off white head. Aroma is initially floral hops with some sweet citrus fruits lying underneath and a light caramel note. Medium body. Flavor starts with mostly sweet orange and lightly sweet caramel before moving to a more grassy and bitter finish. Very nice, an interesting take on the style

Slight grassy aroma, mildly green, with some soapiness. Flawless appearance of medium amber with a modest white head and some lacing. MMM, nice job here. Swirling malt complexity with toasted caramel, light crystal leads to a dry finish. The hops are tantalizingly present giving a citric presence to the swirl and a grassy ending. An interesting take. K - up the aroma and this is a winner.
