Nice deep ruby coloured body with strong brown tints and a fast-dying tan head. Aroma of super fresh hops, nice tart fruit, potent malt and even a tad of nuttiness. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour up front that fades into maltiness and leaves a bit of the nuts on the palate. Aftertaste is quick and mild, nothing going on really. Overall, nothing more than a dry-hopped amber or red ale that doesn’t do much for anyone. This one should be overlooked unless you really want a crummy beer from Syracuse. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 31-December-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottle from six-pack which say its from Syracuse dated 2004? Pours a deep amber body with a medium biege head. Nice complex aroma. Roasted malty, floral hoppy with strong nutty scents. Caramel malty flavor. Buttery smooth full mouthfeel. Nice bitter hop finish. Very enjoyable APA. The store close to me is trying to get rid of these for cheap, so I might be getting a few more.

Pours a clear copper amber with a thin wispy white head. Has an earthy lightly piney hoppy aroma with some toasted caramel malty presence. Starts semi-sweet with some earthy bittering hops and toasty caramel malty notes before a thinner finish. Fairly true to style, just not all that exciting.

(bottle - 12 oz) Nice and deep copper color with a light tan head. Lots of hops in the aroma with a bold citrus and floral aroma as well. Flavor is dominated by floral hops and a subtle sweetness from the malts. Aftertaste is pleasantly bitter and leaves the slightest touch of sweetness afterwords. Really nice pale ale.

12 oz bottle. Copper pour with a thin light tan head. Citrus hop nose, some caramel and toffee notes. Burnt caramel flavors are immediately overcome by a peppery bitter finish with each sip. I imagine this started out a red, then they hopped it up. A rather interesting take on the style, and it works overall.

Bottle. Ruddy coppery pour. Caramel malty aroma with a decent amount of citrus hops. Similar flavors, with the malts adding a a caramel and slightly toasty feel. Nice smooth bitter finish. Decent.

Poured a slightly hazed deep amber color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was lightly citrusy with hops. Toffee malt notes were mixed in as well. the beer had bitterness from the start. There was some malt in there but big bitterness all over the place.
