BeerBelcher (716), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 4, 2007 I would disagree with the previous review. I think if Corona was fresh (it’s not - it usually taste pretty skunky and oxidized to me), I think it would taste like this, which is to say like nothing. Count me as unimpressed.
Appearance was bland macro. Yellow and fizzy. Aroma was virtually non-existence, although my nose developed some rather offensive corn notes after it hung out deep in my glass for a couple of minutes. Flavor was....there was no flavor. Mouthfeel...if there was one it would be like water. Nothing to this beer which could be inoffensive to some, but I was expecting more (like something).
I remember hearing a David Allen Coe song making fun of Jimmy Buffett ("Jimmy Buffett Doesn’t Live in Key West Anymore") - I’m wondering if he could make a better beer.
Edgekrusher (45), , Alabama, USA Sep 4, 2008 Light like a corona. Citrus lime bitter aftertaste. Reminds me of lemonade. You could drink a lot of this in the summer. I’m surprised ratings are so low, it’s actually decent. Bella68 (12), Alabama, USA Sep 3, 2008 Had this at Shickey G’s in E’prise. I like the marketing of this beer, however... bright golden in color, very brief head and I had a hard time discerning the aroma. Taste? Thin. Watery. I had to add a lime for flavor. drpimento (499), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Sep 3, 2008 Did pour with a decent head and some lace. Aroma? umm guess it didn’t smell bad. Pale yellow in color. A very, very mild flavor. Beer. Had some body. Hint of bittersweet. Not much to balance. Carbonation is ok for the style. That’s about it. branspra (12), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle. A better version of Corona, but not by much. Light body with very little head. Very light aroma with little hops. Short palate. Overall, beer is only good for those friends that want to feel like they are drinking a craft beer instead of Corona. DerBiermeister (374), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pretty standard run of the mill Jimmy Buffett-inspired staple skunk brew.
Not recommended - though not shunned if free.
