[12oz Bottle - 99 Bottles] Pors a deep amber color with a nice head. Hints of strong malts and a great underlying roastyness. Loved the flavors. This was a full beer and not over powering. This had smokiness and malts and a hiny of fruitness. This was a great beer.

Received a 12-oz bottle via trade with 5000. Pours a semi-hazy dark copper brew with a thin, creamy beige head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of mostly roasted caramel malt, a touch of cheery, citrus and some toffee. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of caramel/toffee character, some sour apple, tart berries and a touch of citrus. Finish has a slight iced tea aftertaste with a lingering mild hop bitterness. Quite nice!

Pours a mahoganey color with reddish, brown hues and a small ivory colored head. Toasted malt aroma with hints of pine, nutmeg, and cinamon. Medium bodied with subtle chocolate and roasted malt flavors. Nicely done.

(22 oz bottle: The Bottle Shoppe in Bellingham, WA) So I bought this several months after the "best by" date, but it doesn’t seem to matter because this is a pretty tasty brew. It’s very flavorful, sweet, toasty, lightly roasty, and very malty, but also moderately bitter and lightly tart for excellent balance. There’s also a modest earthiness which points to this being from last holiday season, but it’s enjoyable. Strong, earthy, toasty, malty nose is very aromatic. Medium "plus" bodied, and boy, what a long-lasting blast of flavor on the palate. Pours crystal clear and a dark, ruddy brown in color. The creamy, light tan head rises to over half an inch, and very slowly subsides to a thin layer, but only with the help of my slurping it up with each taste I take. A dense curtain of lace is left on the glass, and when that lace finally breaks up a bit, I’m left with beautiful ice crystals. This has been by first experience with a beer from Lang Creek, so I didn’t know what to expect, but wow, this has been great. I’m looking forward to trying other of their beers.

Surprisingly hoppy beer with a very smooth chocolatey finish, the chocolate holds up on the palate a touch dry and lingering - sort of chalky in a way, but nice. Very robust throughout the mouthfeel but finishes a bit to narrowly/ thin. Surprising effectiveness in the balance of cascade hops and roasted malt.

Dark amber pour with off brown head than hangs a little. Roasted malty nose with a hint of citrus. Flavor is of carmalized sugar with a medium body that makes way for a hoppy finish.

Brown ale like caramel malts - caramel, sour chocolate, slight cherry. Brownish crimson pour with little head. Lots of toffee and sour apple malts in flavor. Fairly light in body. Slight noble hops in the finish. Nice quaffer.

Bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Beautiful mahogany color with a multi-finger beige/tan head. Aroma of resin backed by citrus. Near full bodied with vigorous, near creamy carbonation. Flavor is quite resiny, backed by heavy caramel, finishing balanced, evergreeny, and mouthsmacking. Just excellent. Makes me think of gin.
