Aubrey (2643), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 31, 2001 Wonderful hop aroma. Light, but very flavorful. Like Gusler said, this beer leaves the macros in the dust. Only complaint: not enough malt flavor... but hey, it’s a Blonde Ale, what do you expect? Otherwise, it was very refreshing; I’d drink it again... and again. Neat brewery (’the most remote brewery’); check out www.langcreekbrewery.com Merc (313), Pullman, Washington, USA Aug 7, 2002 My favourite Lang Creek brew. Aroma: malt, fruit, floral. Deep blonde colour. Incredibly creamy palate. A healthy dose of hops, yet still malty and light. Very well balanced. My only complaint is a slight wet dog aroma about it. My first inkling would have been to put this more as a blonde than a belgian, but I’ll buy it either way. Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 20, 2000 Updated: May 7, 2004The beer after disburdening itself from the 12 ounce brown bottle sits in the glass a clear amber color with the head bright white and modest in size, the texture frothy and the lace a thin white veil to occult the glass. Nose is crisp and fresh, sweet malt aroma dominates and overall pleasing to the senses. Start is somewhat sweet, fair malt presence, the top light in its feel to the palate with the finish brisk in its acidity and the hops benign in their spiciness, quite dry aftertaste, but a nice drinkable beer. wulfhere (217), Billings, Montana, USA Feb 10, 2004 Bottle:
Poured a nice, deep straw color with moderate head. The head faded rather quickly, but left some solid sheets of Brussels Lace behind.
Smell is light, malty with a hint of vegetal hops, although that is very subtle.
Taste light, fresh and crisp, with a somewhat dry character. Moderate hop bitterness with minimal hop aroma (per style). A nice, clean session beer, but there's nothing to really get excited about here. Still, if you like light bodied, refreshing beers on a hot summer day, look no further than Lang's Skydiver Blonde. mike mcneil (655), St Augustine, Florida, USA Mar 16, 2001 I’m not much of a fan of lighter beers. Most ’blond’ ales or lagers I’ve tasted have been quite bland. That said, this is the best ’blond’ I’ve ever tried. Although on the lighter side it presents some character. Finely carbonated, smooth texture, fair amount of malt and a crisp, clean hop presence. Finishes dry and refreshing. Classy stuff.
