| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 6, 2001 Deep amber color with a durable off-white head; creamy mouthfeel with initial nutty and toasty malt flavor with some mild sweetness; finish quickly presents a notable amount of crisp hop bitterness which lingers. A top-shelf amber. wulfhere (217), Billings, Montana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2003 A nice little amber with a hoppy edge to it. The malt is balanced well with the sharp hop bite, so the overall effect is quite pleasing. Lang Creek brews good beer and this is a good brew. When in Montana, try one if you like amber ales. gringo332 (247), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 14, 2008 This beer pours an amberish red color with a frothy slightly off white head with good lacing. From aesthetics alone I was pretty damn pleased with this beer. The aroma is pretty prominent for something i had low hopes for. Caramel and hops are in there with a chocolate or molasses undertone. The flavor is very dessert like and almost leads me to think this would be a nice dessert beer. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2000 Updated: May 4, 2004The beer as it excavates itself from the 22 ounce brown bottle pours a translucent burnished copper color with a moderate sized head that is spumous in texture and a toothsome light tan in color, the lace from a concealing sheet to cover the glass. The nose is sweet malt, crisp and clean to the senses with the start nicely malted and somewhat sweet, the top is fair to middling in its feel to the palate. Finish as purposeful acidity, the hops relatively mild and pleasurable with the aftertaste quite dry and long lasting, a nice summertime beer, not to weak but not to strong as it’s a balmy 100 degrees Fahrenheit at the moment Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Pours reddish brown with a thin white head. Smells of sweet malt, citrus, roses, sugar. Tastes earthy with some citrussy notes and a slightly peppery finish. Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA
