Hazy blonde colour. Fruity-grassy hop nose seems more IPA than anything continental. Fresh hoppy taste with a hint of grassiness. Quenching and balanced, a bit deceptive in terms of its potency. Nice brew.

@Mountain Beerfest-on tap-pours an off white head and yellow color. Aroma is grain-some sweet. Taste is grain-some sweet, light/spicy (saaz?) hops. OK effervescence.

Draft @ Strange Brewfest 07: Pours a pale gold color, nice head and good lacing. The nose is citrusy and grassy with a nice hoppy balance. The body is strong and puffy. Nice imperial pilsner.

2008 Spring Beer Festival. Pours lighter golden with a soft white head. Big on the bittering hops, lacked floral charm. Hops were citrusy, but you could tell more from the nose and didn’t put much favorable citrus flavor through to the finish. Tasted a bit pithy, like chewing on orange peel in the aftertaste.

Interesting. I would have thought it was a IIPA. Goldish color. Peppery hop aroma. Flavor is peppery lemon hops with some sweet citrus flavor. Finish is a little dry with a lingering floral bitterness. Pretty good. Come to think of it, it did have characteristics of a pils, only magnified.

Clear and light golden with many rising bubbles, like champagne. Floaties and sediment lingered toward the bottom of the bottle. Frothy, tightly packed white head. Smooth and soft texture, with weight. Grainy malts. Burly alcohol presence. Had some malt liquor characteristics to it; also elements of dark corn and sourdough bread.

Bright straw yellow, hazy. Floral and fruit hop aroma. Very sweet malt palate, but pale malt, so quite grainy. Aromatic hoppy character adds a bit of interesting character, but in the end this is just too sweet. There is a long lingering bitter finish that just doesn’t make up for the sweet entry enough for me. I suppose this is really an "imperial pilsener", but for that kind of thing I’d return to Rogue’s Morimoto Imperial Pilsener before coming back to this one.
