What is the difference with the regular Lapin Kulta III? Colour. And the bottle which is rather nice. Otherwise quite boring. JK54B (501), Finland Dec 28, 2008 A bottle from local S-Market. Pale brown head. Reddish coppery colour. Malty nose. Dry malty slightly bitter taste. Not very special. Miksu (1478), Jyväskylä, Finland Dec 22, 2008 0.33 l bottle, Lapin Kulta Joulu III. Dark amber color. Malty and caramelly aroma with toasted bread. The flavor is also caramelly and slightly toasty but thinner and more watery than aroma suggests. There is also honey, hints of rye and hints of metal in the flavor. Bitterness is low and there is a hint of herbal hops. First sip is OK, but after that this gets boring. esox (155), Oulu, Finland Dec 1, 2008 33cl bottle. Dark coppery brown beer with a minimal white head. Mild aroma has some grassy hops and a hont of malty caramel. Flavor is also very mild, sweetish malty and there’s moderate bitteration in the short finish. There should be more malts to balance the bitterness. Palate is thin, almost watery, light bodied and a bit carbonated. Why did they even brew this? bermod (104), Lappeenranta, Finland Nov 29, 2008 Mild malty and rye bready aroma with touch of grassy hops. Malty flavor is metal and a hint of rye bread and grassy hops in the background. Harsh and thin.
